ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers)

  • ASCE (The American Society of Civil Engineers) represents more than 150,000 members of the Civil Engineering profession in 177 countries. Founded in 1852, ASCE is the nation's oldest engineering society. Our Institution is one among the 20 Engineering Autonomous Colleges in all over Tamilnadu Region having established the students chapter in association with ASCE.
  • ASCE stands at the forefront of a profession that plans, designs, constructs, and operates society's economic and social engine - the built environment - while protecting and restoring the natural environment.
  • Our Department established American Society of Civil Engineers Association on 17.12.2019 and one of our faculty member Dr.K.Vidhya, Professor & Head/Civil is faculty mentor in this association and more than 100 students got membership in various for a under ASCE.
  • The Civil Engineering department organized many Technical events like International Conference, International Webinars, Guest Lectures, Social activities and technical competitions under ASCE students chapter with associating bodies as ASCE IS, ASCE Newzealand, ASCE SriLanka etc. Notable programmes are International Webinar on “Architecture, Civil and Earthquake Engineering” and “Structural and Geo -Confluence” and Rainwater harvesting awareness program, etc.
