About the Department

   The Department ofPhysics was established in the year 1995.The Department has a team ofwell-qualified faculty with M. Phil and P.hD degrees. The Departmentof Physics strives to move ahead with the study and practice of theemerging dynamic needs. It fosters creative expression and criticalthinking of students, and integrate scholastic excellence in learningwith discipline.

   In addition todisciplinary instruction and practice, it offers pedagogicallymeaningful curricular and co-curricular activities which kindle thepassion of learning in the minds of budding engineers and to preparethem to be innovative and creative to face the competitive world. TheDepartment has well equipped Laboratory with all modern instruments.The Department provides individual attention for character-building,personality development along with educational and researchexcellence.

   The Physics laboratory is well equipped to cater the needs of students. It is equipped with modern equipments pertaining to the curriculum and syllabi of Anna University Chennai.
