About IEEE - MEC Student Branch (STB09491)

Mahendra Engineering College (MEC) - IEEE Student Branch was established in the year 2012. IEEE-MEC is affiliated to the IEEE Madras Section, which is a part of Region 10 of IEEE. Over the years the is working towards the development of students in technical and non-technical activities. IEEE-MEC student branch regularly organizes hardware project contest, workshops, seminars, guest lectures, faculty development programmes and for the benefit of faculty members and students in the fields of Engineering Science and topics of current interest. It helps for organizing International Conferences; Publishing IEEE Papers and Journals from MEC campus. IEEE-MEC student branch organized three International “IEEE Conference on Emerging Devices and Smart Systems (ICEDSS)” on 2016, 2017 & 2018 and enabled IEEE members of MEC to be technically strong. IEEE-MEC won Best Student Branch Award in the year 2019.
